fireside 02:37
the bark is burnt & burnin beneath the fire’s eye my hearts been yearnin for ya ever since desire sided and through the smoke i seem to evoke a higher tide a hollow hoax to hearken all along the fireside the lark is stern & yearnin between the falsified a turn for worse and i’ll become subdued and subdivided and though i woke alone i provoke the ember’s guide i swallow smoke to darken avenues of thought to which i’ll go but i want you to know i won’t ya i won’t if you want me alone i won’t the flame a semaphore a silent signal toward a tired metaphor metamorphosis adorn my formin mind before i find my signs ignored a silver toreador for you to settle for how much could you endure i’ll go but i want you to know i won’t ya i won’t if you want me alone i won’t

about

here is a short collection of short songs called "besides". this is the second installation in the "side" series. these songs were recorded at humber college on march 1st, 2020, by andrew mullin. i subsequently recorded the electric guitar parts over the spring in my bedroom at my parents' place in new brunswick.

i wrote most of these songs to myself, for myself - but you can have them too. keep y'r chin up, bucko, and thanks for everything.
